Can I plug this microphone into my iPhone?
I'm getting the Audio-Technica ATR-6550 for use in a film i'm making. My camera doesn't have a mic input, and have no budget to buy a field recorder. I have heard that you can use the iPhone as a field recorder, and was wondering if I can plug the mic directly into the iPhone, or if I need to buy some adapter and if so, where to buy it.
This is the link for the mic: http://www.amazon.com/...002GYPS3M/
From what I see in that picture on the site you link us to, the Microphone has a 3.5 MM plug on the end of the cable. I do not know the plugs on a Iphone, so it might work right there. Pictured in front of the 3.5 MM plug is adapter that takes the 3.5 MM to 1/4 inch plug, which will plug into mixers and such If the 3.5 MM plug does not work with your IPod, I suggest to you to make your way to your Local music Store, the one that sells Drum Kits, Keyboards, Guitars and a multitude of other Musical Instruments. They supply all the musicians with their needed audio gear and would have what you need to get that microphone to be able to plug into your Ipod.
Have Fun.
- Is there some type of micro sd card reader that I can plug into my iphone? Like an adapter where you would put the sd card in to this slot and then on the other end is a port that can connect to my new iphone and then the iphone would read the card and show me wants on the card, but not necessarily down load what's on the card just shows me what's on it, well is there
- I just got an iPhone 5s, but when I plug it into my computer, nothing happens. How can I fix this? I had a 4s before, and everything worked, but toward the end, whenever I plugged my 4s in, only iTunes would work. My computer wouldn't recognize the phone.
- I accidently pluged my iPhones audio jack into a plug that goes into a wall outlet? The plug that's on head phones that goes into your iPhone. Well this one did not go to head phones it went into the wall now my phone won't turn on.
- Can you use an aux cord for active PA speakers to plug into my iPhone? So I'm having a party and I'm new to these PA speakers systems and have no clue if I have to buy this amplifier stuff which is going to cost hundreds or could I just use my iPhone and plug it straight into the PA speakers through a cord?
