Can I retrieve photos that were lost during iPhone 4S system restore?
I just got back from NYC and I took over 300 photos with my iPhone 4S. My phone had no service and the guy at the phone place restored it to see if this would solve the issue. I wasn't aware that he would be doing this, so when I got my phone back all the pics/videos everything was gone and my phone is still showing no service. Any suggestions on how I can get these back? My phone is running IOS 6.
That was really careless of him i would file for complaint if no agreement was done for the restore. If you are lucky, maybe you had icloud turned on with photostream and it saved all of your photos there. Try it with Wi-Fi if your icloud has the photos and turning on photostream on settings. Also try to restore your most recent backup, there's a chance it contains your recent photos.
Though iPhone uses quite a different storage mechanism, still you can recover deleted or lost data (such as text messages, contacts, photos etc) with a third party specific iPhone data recovery software called Tenorshare iTunes Data Recovery. I used it to recover all my contacts, messages and photos after restore my phone and it worked.

- Itunes fails to download iPhone Software Update during restore When i try to restore my iPhone itune starts the restore by first downloading this thing named as iPhone Software Update ( even though my iphone is aLREADy running 7.0.3) . Whenever 50-60 MB of it has been downloaded by itunes the download speeds gradually slows down to 0 and download fails. Why is this happening. Its not a problem with my internet connection.
