Can I safely upgrade to iOS 7?

I'm running on an iOS 6.0 jailbreak currently, what I'm wondering is, can I safely upgrade to iOS 7 without it messing my phone up? I don't care about losing the jail break or anything, I just want to be sure that I can safely upgrade to iOS 7 from an iOS 6.0 jailbreak. Any help is appreciated.

note: i'm using an iphone 4s

I'm pretty sure you can.i've seen some youtube videos answering this question. Maybe try going on youtube and searching it up?

It's best to backup your phone with iTunes then perform a "Restore", this will remove the jailbreak and upgrade your device, after that just resync your content back.

Don't do that

Steps:

1) Plug your phone to your computer via USB
2) Back up your phone in iTunes
3) Hit "Restore and Update" your iPhone
4) Wait for the process to complete.
5) Restore your backup

This will wipe your jailbreak and leave you with factory settings on the newest firmware.
