Can I switch phones before my 2 year contract?

So I have Verizon and I got the Samsung s8. I know they let you switch as long as you don't hit the 14 days, but it's been a little over a month and I wanna go back to iPhone. Is it possible to switch? If So, how?

Every network is different

But in mine when you upgrade you have 14 days to decide if it's the phone for you if not happy then you have to contact them within the said period for cancellation of contract and to send phone back.

Please be aware depending on the generosity of the network you may have to pay for the remainder of the contract which may be hundreds depending on length of agreement

But as I said every network is different.

If you paid for the phone upfront, simply purchase a new one, then sell the old one.

If you are paying for the phone in installments, you can pay the balance of the old phone in full, then you can get the new one on payments. Otherwise, you buy a new phone at full price then keep paying monthly. You won't be able to sell the old phone until you have paid it off.

This is not a good situation to be in unfortunately, especially with Verizon. I'm assuming you did the phone installment plan (edge plan), since many people don't buy phones outright (if you did you can just buy another phone). However with the edge plan, since you had it over the 14 day return policy you are now stuck in the edge contract. Sure you can absolutely switch phones but you are going to be stuck paying for the S8 device.

Couple different options: 1) Buy an iPhone on eBay or Apple and activate it on your line. Can do this but you will have to pay the hundreds of dollars for the iPhone, then you will also have to finish paying off the S8 phone through your Verizon bill. So you will will be paying for the iPhone plus the S8, so likely 1500 to 2000 dollars over the 2 years.

2) You may be on a payment plan that you can upgrade when you pay off 50% or 75% of the phone. So if you were, you could pay 50% of the S8 (still would require a 300 to 400 to finish contract), then you could trade in the S8 to Verizon for the upgrade too get the iPhone.

Overall its going to be very expensive to switch.

  • Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
  • Is there a way I can switch to Verizon edge even though my 2-year contract isn't up? My poor iPhone 5c has a cracked screen and some of the letters are really hard to use with the screen! I never got Applecare or any type of I've had my iPhone for a 18months (1year & 5months) and I was wondering is it an option to upgrade early and participate with Verizon edge plan even though my two year contract isn't up? I've heard of something called the early edge and is that still available with Verizon or no? (Please NO RUDE COMMENTS!)
  • How to save all my stuff on my iphone before i switch phones? I'm getting a new iphone, and i have to ship my old one out before my new one comes. Is there a way i can save everything so when my new one comes i can put everything back on? Does icloud do this? I'm really worried i will lose my apps, pics, contacts etc.
  • How much would it cost to switch iphones under a two year contract? I have an iphone 4 and its pretty much destroyed. I cracked the entire back and the front screen. I want to upgrade to the iPhone 5s but i'm not eligable for an upgrade yet. Could I still switch phones? And how much would it cost? And what is the full retail price of the iPhone 5s?
