Can I switch to iphone with my droid, Verizon?

I currently own a droid razr maxx on Verizon. I want to switch to an iphone. Not a 5. Can I buy an old Verizon iphone that people sell and just transfer everything over? I'm assuming I would have to deactivate my current phone and activate the other one. How do I go about doing this?

The phone has to be unlocked but you can transfer everything over just ask the company person youre signing with

Can't you just transfer the SIM card?

Yes. You don't need to unlock it. I'm not sure why anybody would think you need to unlock a Verizon phone to replace a Verizon phone on the Verizon network. And it's not just switching SIM cards because you're switching to a CDMA phone.

You can do this a couple ways. You can go to your my verizon account online and activate it or you can go in to a store to activate it. There's no charge either way.
