Can I transfer iPhone text messages to my pc for storage?
I'd rather do it without installing any programs if possible.
They're automatically backed up when you sync to iTunes.
You can't do it directly without third party software. Although iTunes can back up all your data including text messages it does not give access to those messages via PC. What you can do is forward them all to your email and save them that way. Unfortunately this method is tedious because it requires individually selecting each message. If you want to do this, go to a group of messages, press edit, select the messages you want and then press forward. Enter an email address instead of phone number in the "To" field.
Yes, you can do it without any third-party program. You just need to sync them to the iTunes.
But this way may be a little tedious. Here is an easy way with a reliable software program, named iStonsoft iPhone backup software.
- Why is my iPhone5 sending some messages as iMessage and others as Text Messages? I understand that messages are sent as Text Messages when there's no signal or poor Wi-Fi connection. However, I'm successfully texting some people using iMessage but others (still iPhone users) as Text messages. The other person will send iMessages and then my responses will be sent as green Text Messages.
- When I receive text messages with emojis from an iPhone, why do the messages only appear partially? My phone is a "Verizon Samsung Intensity II" slide phone. (Also it's blue but that doesn't matter.) Also, if I'm included in an iPhone group chat (spoiled rich friends, but not snobby…), I get each posted message as a separate message, so I'll end up randomly with 67 unread messages clogging up my inbox.
- Transfer text messages from old iphone to new iphone? Recently got a new iphone and my old iphone has some text messages (also whatsapp messages) that I would like to recover. Is there an easy way to get those message from my old phone to new phone with out using icloud or sketchy online downloads?
- If I turn off push messages on my iphone 4 will I still get my regular text messages? I read that turning off push messages or setting them to manually helps save battery life. I want to know if I do this will I still be able to receive my regular text messages.
