Can I use a sim card from a flip phone inside an iphone 5 if I cut it to size?
I just want to get past the activation screen. I don't need a plan or anything.
Probably not, if you cut it, it probably will destroy the chip rendering it useless.
Putting a SIM inside will not enable an Activation Locked phone to be used unless you also enter the correct credentials.
But if you do have the correct credentials then any microSIM, even a deactivated one, will allow the phone to be used as an iPod, you can cut one down to size but it's tricky and can result in the SIM either being ruined or getting stuck in the phone. MicroSIMs are very easy to get at minimal cost or even for free so cutting one down may not be worthwhile.
Yea, assuming the iPhone is either unlocked or locked to the same carrier.
- Will my CUT nano sim get stuck inside iPhone 5? My carrier refuses to sell me a nano sim without a contract. I have to cut my normal sim down to nano sim size. I've heard it'll still fit despite being thicker. Once inside, will my cut nano sim get stuck?
- Will a blackberry sim card work in an iPhone 4 if we cut the sim? My friend has a blackberry and wants to buy an iPhone 4 off someone he knows. I have a micro sim cutter that I used when I went from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4. If we cut down his sim it will fit in the iPhone, but will he still be able to use Internet and call people? Also, would his network provider be able to send him a new iPhone sim but with the same tariff? Cheers

- Reuse T-Mobile cut-to-use-for iPhone SIM card back to regular T-Mobile phone? Is that possible? My SIM card has been cut to fit on iPhone but I'm going to sell it next month to go back to regular T-Mobile phone. I still have the cutout piece from original T-Mobile SIM Card. Can I re-attach micro SIM to original T-Mobile card and use it on new T-Mobile phone, or would I have to buy the new SIM card and activate it again on pay-as-go-plan?
