Can i use an unlocked or refurbished iphone with Virgin Mobile USA?

I bought my iphone 4s from Target (paid full price) about 6 months ago, and dropped it in water recently. I tried the bag of rice trick, and not much help. Phone was making noise but still had a black screen after a couple of days.
I'm not too big on getting a contract, so I chose virgin mobile (cheap)
MORAL of the story, does anyone have virgin Mobile USA and know if I can use an unlocked or refurbished iphone with the company? No I didn't have insurance.

Open your display of iphone and dry it into air and set it againg. Your display of iphone may be damaged. Just buy new one.

  • Virgin Mobile iPhone5 from Canada can be activated from USA? Ok, so I now have the Optimus V and I hate it, I want the iPhone5 because it's cheaper than getting the iPhone 4 here. So i was wondering if i buy a "factory unlocked" iphone on ebay, would i just be able to go to virgin mobile's website and activate it?
