Can I use iPhone that locked to carrier without SIM card?
I bought iphone6 from totalwireless. It need to activated by only totalwireless SIM card. Can I use it as a ipod with no sim card? IS it gonna stuck at welcome page if I don't have Total wireless SIM card?
You need to activate the phone within a few days of getting it, otherwise it will be locked because the company assumes it's lost.
Yes, you'll need to insert the Total Wireless SIM card at least once during the initial setup process. It won't let you get past that step until you do so. Once you activate the phone, you can remove the SIM card. However, it will keep reminding you every so often that you don't have a SIM installed.
It would need to be activated before it could be used for anything.
