Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card?
I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
First congratz for your new iphone
cutting your sim card is necessary in case of iphones
it will not affect the sim card. It will just make it compitable for your new phone
however you can't use your sim card in other phones which require it in full size
in that case contact your network provider for a new duplicate sim card.
Yes, I've cut down about four mini SIM cards to the micro SIM size using this:

Some mobile companies will exchange a mini SIM for a micro SIM free of charge. Note that there are SIM card adapters that will let you use micro SIMs in devices designed for mini SIMs. The cutter that I have included two of these adapters.
- Would an different AT&T micro SIM card work on a AT&T locked iPhone 4S? I believe the answer is yes but I want to be sure before I sell my iPhone. I don't want to sell it to someone who believes this to be possible and then learn it's not. I know the phone will not work with any other carrier but AT&T.
- Will I be able to transfer my contract from a regular Sim card to a Micro Sim card? I want to buy an iPhone 4S on T-mobile, but my current T-mobile sim card is a regular one that would not fit in to the iPhone 4S. Would I be able to somehow move my contract on to the new Micro Sim?

- Should i risk cutting my mini sim to a micro sim? I have a iPhone 3GS but i recently bought myself an iPhone 4. I found out that i will need a micro sim as opposed to a mini sim, but i was wondering if i should risk cutting it down with a kitchen knife or something. I'm currently with vodafone and have had my sim card for about a year if that affects it? Is it easy to do? What are the risks? Am i likely to mess it up? What are problems faced when doing this? Any extra info would be much appreciated.
