Can I use iPhone without data plan?
My friend offered me to sell an iPhone to me but I have at&t phone service and data plans are so expensive. And I don't want to buy any data plans. Can I use iPhone without having any data plans or the at&t will know hat I'm using iPhone and they will start charging me.
Please answer my question As soon as possible.
I know what you can use with a data plan.
Data is only for 3G usage and stuff. If you're not going to use the Internet without Wi-Fi then you should be fine.
They will automatically add a data plan onto your current plan.
I don't see what's the complaint about though, you can just get the lowest data plan ($15).
If that's expensive, you shouldn't really have a cell phone.
You have to have a data plan for all smartphones. There's no way around this. Even if you only use Wi-Fi you still have to purchase a data package.
- Can you use an iPhone without a data plan? I've heard you can use the iPhone without a data plan by turning off the data on the phone before putting your SIM card in. My friend has been doing this for a while with a hand-me-down iPhone 3 he has. Does this also work with an iPhone 4? Another friend has given me her old iPhone 4 that I would like to use but I do not want to pay for a data plan when I could just use Wi-Fi. My carrier is AT&T and the phone is an AT&T phone as well.
- Can I use the internet on my iPhone without a data plan? If I cancel my data plan for my iPhone would I still be able to connect to Wi-Fi to use the internet on it? I don't need to make calls or text off of it, just use the internet.
- Can I use my unlocked iPhone 4S without a data plan? Is there any way I use my unlocked iPhone 4S without paying for a data plan? Can I jailbreak it to avoid it?
- Can I use my iPhone without a data plan? I have a "dumb phone" with a SIM card that has the Internet locked. If I put it in my iPhone and turn off location services and all data except for Wi-Fi can I use it without getting a data plan? I did this for another smart phone and it worked fine. I don't know if it will work with the iPhone.
