Can I use my iPhone 5 while I'm in Taiwan?
I'm going on vacation next week to Taiwan for a week, and I was wondering if I'm still able to use my data while I'm in Taiwan? Like, will I be able to use my apps, and how much will it be to call/text? I'm not really educated about cell phones and plans.
It SHOULD work, IF YOU HAVE THE GSM IPHONE. The Verizon phone only works on verizons network (also known as cdma) which means unless taiwan has a CDMA network, then it won't work other wise. Cost, it all depends on your network provider. If your phone is unlocked, then it might be best to buy a sim over there and slot it in
Ask your provider. Probably international roaming will work (possibly at some fee), but DO NOT USE DATA IN TAIWAN! Data when roaming costs by the KB and could cost thousands of dollars over a trip.
Depends on your carrier. ATT iPhones can work internationally, but Verizon and sprint only work on CDMA. It will cost much more than you'd pay normally, so be careful on how much data you use. I'd recommend using Wi-Fi the whole time cause data charges can incur like crazy when out of country.
If you go to Taiwan and use the phone with your present carrier, you'll be charged for International Roaming which is pretty expensive. You should go to Taiwan and get your iPhone to Airplane Mode and use Wi-Fi for apps whenever available. Of you can get your iPhone unlocked and use it with a Taiwanese SIM for calling-texting-data.
- Is there an iPhone app that I can use to text while I'm in Thailand? I was just wondering if there's an app that lets me text people (iPhone/Android users) back in the US for free? And would there be any fees added to my bill or anything that I should be aware of?
- I can't use my speaker phone while in a phone call on my iPhone 5S? I recently got an iPhone 5S and when I call someone (a normal phone call), it won't allow me to click on my speakerphone button. It's not that it doesn't work, I'm just unable to use the function while in a call.
- Found an iPhone 5 while I was in Taiwan? I recently took a trip to Taiwan and found an iPhone 5 on the high speed rail. I left it on waiting for the owner to call, but they never did. So now I'm back in the states with a dead iPhone 5. Would love to use it, but wondering what other options I have. Or is it even possible to use here in the states.
- Cloned gadgets? From taiwan or from korea? Which is better? There you go, i want gadgets, but there's no money to buy, but lately, i 'd found out that there are gadgets which are cloned, since the cloned are cheaper and i can already afford them, i'm planning to buy a samsung iphone 4s cloned.
