Can I use the USB port on my AirPort Extreme to charge?
Can I use the USB port on my AirPort Extreme to charge an iPhone 5/5S?
It should work. USB ports are generally set up to provide at least 500 mA of current at 5 V. For comparison, the 5W Apple charger (the white cube) can put out 1000 mA at 5V and will charge an iPhone much more quickly. If you are no hurry, a USB port will work just fine. Try it. If the iPhone shows it is charging, then it works.
- Why port forwarding on port 80? I have a foscam home security camera and it needs port forwarding on port 80 if I want to use my iphone to view it from outside. Surely enough, it works as soon as I open that port. But isn't port 80 open by default? Else how could I view http websites in the first place. I don't get it. It's already open so why open it again?
