Can I use these speakers in another system? How do I matchup/know?
My receiver died.
pioneer htp-071, its shown in the link below with its info.
only7 lasted 8 monthes although I did buy it used.waqs put out in feb.2011 it says on back. What bs this shoulda lasted longer right? Also noticed a lil dent on top i don't know if that played a part.
can I use these speakers in another system? I want to upgrade to a 2013 pioneer as the features look GREAT an ill upgrade if possible, as I constantly have to change the speaker distance one by one an there's no ipod dock or ability to have pc video input on but also play the radio. Maybe to a vsx 523 or 823 or an open box of a 1023k or 22? Not sure how the 2013 are better then the 2012's except for a iphone, which i'm not buying
sound was always delayed by 5.4 seconds on the pc, that's weird it was like that thru hdmi 1.4 from computer but while using Netflix it would switch automatically to a zero second delay (In settings) an match the audio thru the optical audio cable. So I never had to switch any setting there, surely a new system would also switch like that? I switch between tv an pc audio a lot per day.
the next higher models from pioneer don't have the same speaker wire clamp types for the subwoofer from my current htp-071, although the other speakers ARE clamp types.id like to keep the sub if possible its a great one.
all the pioneers except mine have a plug for sub instead tho. So what are my options?

current speakers have impedence of 6 an whatever that stargate lokking symbol is called(ohms?)
sub also. No volume control on sub now. Would a new sub even matchup well?
You can use the speakers, but they are not good quality. Let me pass along a really big tip about this systems. Home Theater in a Box systems nearly always cut cost with the speakers they throw into the bundle. In your case, tiny low power satellites and an un-powered subwoofer.
Now you are heading in the right direction and buying a true component receiver. You can use the satellites, but be sure to set them as "small" when setting up the system. But we come up to the subwoofer… It's useless on a real component system. You need a powered subwoofer. You don't need a really special powered subwoofer - but you need one. Your subwoofer was part of the cost cutting, and it won't cut it anymore.
Buy a real receiver. The speaker connection type makes no difference. Use the tiny speakers you have for now, but purchase a powered subwoofer. You don't have a choice here unless you fall back to another poor quality HTIB bundle. Then replace the speakers as you can afford to do so.
You have found the real shortcomings of these bundled systems. Poor reliability, poor quality, poor everything. Time to buy the real stuff and put that "look-a-like" stuff where it belongs. Raise lid on dumpster bin, drop items in, close lid and take it to the curb.
As for the A/V sync issue. The cure is to use a media player or Blu Ray player for the source and feed the receiver a digital audio signal from the TV set. The problem deals with signal processing at the TV set. Some receivers have a sound sync function - look for this feature.
- Where can I get a sound system for my iPhone with portable speakers? I want a dock for my iPhone 4s, possibly a 5 in the future. I want the dock to be like a stereo and have at least two speakers that I can place in different spots around my room.(So I can rock out) If you get the idea, then give me a few on where I can get a cool one!
- Where can I find speakers like these? Https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151715279471153&set=pb.81023666152.-2207520000.1373075680.&type=3&theater I want speakers in my room like those, and I need to be able to play electric guitar through them as well as music from my iPhone and mac: L I don't have very much money either, any help would be appreciated.
- Metric system is so dumb why would people use it? If 1 km = 10000m then why does 1km^2 = 1 million m2 China uses the metric system - and we pay them less than $1 an hour to make us Iphones - doesn't that tell you something
- Know any of these leather iPhone wallet cases? I really need one that is RELIABLE trifold, preferably one where you clip the phone in (no covers over it). At least 3 card pockets and space inside the flap. Maybe a thin or folding spine so I can bend it over to take a call. Something in $20-$40 price range.
