Can I use verizon Iphone 5 in my country?
Hi, in my country iphone 5s are too expensive, over $1400 so i'm planning to buy one from ebay. Verizon phones there are very cheap ($600) but only GPS operators are in my country. I have heard that verizon has put sim card slot into its Iphone 5s so anyone who is abroad can use that phone with wanted GPS operator. Is it true, if so will i have to unlock my iphone 5 to make it work?
PS: What does bad ESN mean and will i be able to still use phone?
Yes, if the iPhone by Verizon you purchase has been unlocked already, you will be able to use it with all GSM carriers outside the US. If it isn't unlocked yet, you can simply do that yourself by getting a factory unlock from one of the big online unlock services like http://www.cellfservices.com/
A bad ESN means that the serial number of the device has been blacklisted/barred by Verizon, so you won't be able to use it, not even if unlocked, so stay away from those devices.
- If I want to use SIM card for Verizon in foreign country, what kind do I buy? I want to travel to another country. I have Verizon iPhone 7+ in America. What should I know when buying a SIM card in a foreign country to avoid international fees and roaming? Do I have to buy a CDMA SIM card? Will I get a new number? Will I have to download my apps again?
- How to unlock my iphone 4 so that i can use it outside the country? I want to be able to use my iphone outside the country. The actual unlocked iphone 4 is very expensive, is it possible for me to unlock it completely so that i can use it anywhere?
- Does switching stores on iTunes (from country to country) affect the apps? So I downloaded a lot of apps on my iPhone when I was in the US Currently, I'm in Canada and it won't let me switch stores back until my apple music subscription is over. My question is, when I do change back, will I have to redownload all the apps? Also when I want to update the apps would I have to switch back to the US Store?
- Going to another country. Can I use my cell phone there? I have an iPhone (at&t). I was wondering if I can still use my cell phone in another country (in Central America) for texting. I wouldn't be making any phone calls. I know this might be a dumb question but I really don't know.
