Can iPhones cause breast cancer?
Recently my friends mom found a lump on her breast (which is now cut off, it was cancer) and she said it was where she used to keep her iDevice. I too, have an iPhone and i'm really worried? Help?
Added (1). I'm sorry, removed. I didn't know any better.
Any cellphone could? It's not about iPhone it's about the radiation waves that cellular devices have. However, it could have just been coincidence
Can't see that because surely the phone was switched off. I've heard that listening to a mobile phone pressed up against your ear is no good and could lead to cancer, however you woul have to be using the phone nearly all day for any rays to get into your brain.
There are recent studies in regards to cell phones and computers. They have found no link to cancer of any type using these devices.
The radiation emitted by these devices (Microwave) is so low, you are exposed to way more radiation just walking down the street in a day than carrying your cell phone or computer. You have a much higher risk of getting skin cancer walking around in the sun that you do using your cell phone.
There have been studies that have shown certain frequencies in the microwave range have caused cancer in lab animals, but guess what, the dosage is so high, that humans could not possibly be exposed to that much radiation (Microwave) in a life time. Also, in a few of these studies, if you read them close and understand a little about different radiation, the Frequency range that they have used with in the microwave spectrum humans would not normally come in contact with that type of microwave radiation unless it was in a lab or controlled environment…
So, NO, you can't get cancer from this, this myth, as most do, seems to be self perpetuating to the point of becoming an urban legend. By the way, this question is asked here in this form almost on a daily basis
Only if you have the iPhone ground up and then injected into your breast. Using the phone has no influence on if you get cancer or not.
- Will I get cancer from cell phone radiation? I use my iPhone a lot. But I don't put it up to my head since I rarely make any calls. My family and friends think using my phone a lot will me give me cancer. True?
- Why does my iphone 5 case say it can cause cancer? So I got an iphone 5 case at tjmax and when I bought my case it said a warning on the box of my case which said "this case has chemical products and it's known in the state of California that It can cause cancer, birth defection, and harm. What does that mean? What shouldn't I do with my case so that none of those warnings happen?
- What are the odds that modern technology and gadgets causes mass cancer? So a lot of people I know (including myself) spend a lot of time on their iPhones, Xbox, TV, etc. The people who are currently in their 80s-90s never really had that much exposure to this kind of technology all the time. What are the odds that all these screens are causing radiation poisoning or something and that a lot of us aren't going to live very long? I'm sorry if this is a really stupid question I just really don't know lol…
- Upper right back pain and neck pain. Is it lung cancer? I have mild scoliosis and spend several hours a day on the couch watching videos or movies on my iphone. The pain comes and goes. I don't exhibit any other symptoms of lung cancer. I have never done drugs or smoke at all. I don't feel pain when I breath in deeply. There's mild pain in my neck and lower skull. Is it cancer or poor posture and scoliosis?
