Can listening to music for too long hurt my hearing?

I listen to music about 6-10 hours a day with the volume at 4 out of 16 (iPhone) Can it harm my hearing long term and/or short term?

If it is too loud. If your music is so loud that you can't hear someone at arm's length, than you need to turn it down.

according to the website below, it can also be bad if you listen to too much. You should check it out.

Just don't jack up the volume

  • Will transferring music with 'CopyTrans Manager' hurt my iPhone? I see its an alternative to iTunes. I hate using iTunes. CopyTrans Manager apparently lets you copy past music and videos onto the iPhone… Is it safe though? will my iPhone 5c identify it as a foreign intrusion and kill my iphone? Kinda like how it kills your iphone if you try to jailbreak it. any advice?
