Can my indian bought iphone 4 be used in japan?

I'm gonna get an iphone 4 this week and after the purchase am gonna stay in Japan for a few months this year.

Will i be able to make calls and access all the features of the iphone from Japan?

and what should I do after coming back to India to access the features from India? 5

Note: it is iphone 4, not 4s

Ofcourse you can. But you just have to put in a japenese SIM card while you are in japan. Thats all.
