Can my iphone 5 be used overseas?
Oh my god this is really important! Guys please please please tell me if my iphone 5 can be brought overseas. My dad said I Can't USE IT AT All CAUSE THE SIM CAN't BE REPLACED?! Is that true?! Please reply me As soon as possible cause my flight's in like two days!
That was true of the original iPhone, but not the iPhone 5. However, you can't swap SIMs without unlocking the phone, so you should start by calling your carrier and asking about that. It also depends on the country you're planning to visit, so have that information ready.
You'd do better to buy a throwaway phone while you're there, because even when they do work, functionality is often limited and there are extremely proficient thieves all over Europe and Asia who target batty tourists, and that's an expensive phone. Why worry about keeping an eye on it all the time?
Or better yet. Leave the phone at home and enjoy your trip.
100% yes it can! Just turn off roaming as otherwise you're gonna use so much data & get charged lots, just check fb/twitter when you're on free Wi-Fi area's then turn Wi-Fi off. Also don't download anything whilst abroad the hidden charges are crazy!
