Can my phone carrier company see if I turned off my location services?

My parents track my location on my iPhone and I turned my location off. They are skeptical so they say they will call the cell company (T-Mobile) and ask if I turned my location off. Can T-Mobile know if I did or not?

Lol no they can't find out!

Yeah so maybe don't do it

Yes they definitely can tell if you have turned off your location services and they can even still get your location without GPS (location services) although it is much less accurate. I've done it myself. They have family location services through the cell phone company they turn on for a fee. The only way to stop it is to turn off your phone completely.

They do not need to - if your parents try to track your location, then the tracking info will show you have turned it off!

It's a rather dumb thing to do as there's then no way of locating the phone if it is lost or stolen.
Plus it will destroy any trust your parents have in you.

They are probably pretending to be unsure, to give you a chance to do the right thing on your own, before they ground you or confiscate your phone / put a child lock on it…

You know what?

If you weren't trying to sneak around doing things you shouldn't do,
you would not have any reason to ask such a question.

Neither your parents nor your carrier are as stupid as you think they are. Enjoy being grounded!

Your smart phone is a computer. As such, the cell phone company can manage it so yes, they know.
