Can My Wi-Fi Router software work on my windows 7 laptop?

I want to connect my iPhone to Wi-Fi, but I just have a laptop and wired at home. I heard My Wi-Fi Router from my classmate, would it work for my iPhone?

Hi yes it will work if paired to it. However this works better still if the laptop is a mac book.
as the internet operating system that apple have developed works better than any other liking mac books to I phone and I pads. Apple use the airport system which also includes printers and other devices.
