Can Static electricity affect iphone battery?

I have an iphone 4s, and i've been keeping it under the blanket when i sleep, and there's alot of static electricity conducted under the blanket. And i've been noticing it takes Way longer to charge since. Is it the static electricity? Like, it takes 1 hour to go up 10%…

Static electricity can't affect the battery in any way,
but it may have some undesirable effects on the phone itself.

I recommend keeping it away from any place
where static discharges are common.

Charging time may increase over the lifetime of a battery
due to inevitable changes that occur in batteries.

Maybe your battery is going bad?
