Can't connect to the internet! Windows Vista?

Please help, I've done everything and it keeps showing local access only. My iphone, ipad and imac all have internet, so is not the internet provider. Please help! I have a motorola surfboard modem/router.

Note: Telling us you've tried "everything" isn't quite as helpful as listing some of the things you tried. Also, what were you doing that started this whole mess? Installing something?

1st problem: Your Ethernet LAN adapter doesn't have a MAC (Physical) address. I'd suggest getting into Device Manager and 'uninstalling' that adapter. Then right click on any entry and select 'Scan for Hardware changes.'

2nd problem: You get a 169.254. IP address when your router's DHCP function fails to respond to your network adapter(s). After a certain amount of time your network adapters go ahead and create their own IP addresses in an effort to let you get a little work done. (Your adapter *assumes* the other devices in the network are also getting 169.254 addresses. If they did, your devices could still talk to each other -- but no chance of Internet access.)

Let's power-cycle your router, if you haven't already:
1. Shutdown the failing computer. A real shutdown, not sleep mode.
2. Power off your Motorola device for 15-20 secs, then power it back on.
3. Give the Motorola a minute or so to come up and stabilize.
4. If using Ethernet, unplug and re-plug the cable into both devices. Make sure you hear the "click."
5. Boot up the failing computer and run another ipconfig. If you don't see 169.254 addresses you should be back in business.
6. Your Ethernet LAN adapter should *not* have a MAC (Physical) address with all zeroes anymore.
7. Try accessing the 'Net.

1.Update Network drivers
2. Make sure Network Driver is enabled
3. If nothing works Network adapter might You can buy USB Network Adapter (driver goes on the disc)

Not sure
