Can't get Twitter notifications?

Just got a new iPhone but can't seem to get any Twitter notifications? I already went to my Twitter and enabled the push notifications but I still don't get any! Help!

Added (1). Yeah, I know its for mentions/dms, etc only. I tried doing what you asked, it didn't work. Also I don't have any "Alert Style" option: s I set notifications on in both my phone settings AND Twitter settings. Also I have closed/restarted the app but it still doesn't work. :/

Added (2). Sorry, I CAN see the alert style, already chosen one, but still no notifications:/

General>notifications>twitter>CHOOSE THE ALERT STYLE!
if this did'nt work, exit from twitter though quitting from the app. And open it again. It should work.

p.s: the notification are only when people mention you, retweeted you, followed you, favourited you, send you a DM. Do not expect you will be notified when ever someone you follow tweets.

  • Why won't my twitter notifications pop up on my iPhone? I restarted my phone about a month ago due to my phone having some problems. After i restarted my phone, I got the twitter app and turned on the notifications even the twitter badge icon. Ever since then, it still hasn't worked. My Facebook and Instagram notifications work but not Twitter. I have iOS 6.1.3 and before I restarted my iPhone, it worked.
  • Why don't twitter notifications work on my iPhone? No twitter app's push notifications work on my iPhone 5. I've tried the regular twitter app, echofon and tweetbot. All my notification options have been on in the settings of the iPhone and in each app. I've used each app singly, deleting the previous one every time I tried a new app. I've restarted the phone, reinstalled the twitter apps but nothing has worked. Been driving me crazy! My other push notifications work from other other apps except twitter.

  • Twitter SMS & Twitter App Mobile Notifications? I have and Iphone 4, currently up to date, etc etc. When I turn on mobile notifications on twitter I receive both the SMS/404-04 text notification and a push notification from my twitter mobile app. I would prefer to receive the notifications from my app only and not SMS. It would be easier to distinguish tweet from normal texts. Plus The SMS notifications leave my texts list messy. I can't figure out how to do this anywhere. Solutions?
