Can the Apple Store replace my discontinued iPhone 3GS?
If my iPhone 3GS has a problem which requires my Apple Store to replace it with a new device (I'm still under warranty), would they give me the iPhone 4 considering that the 3GS has been discontinued?
That is a very tricky question. The 3GS has been blocked by the ITC due to a lawsuit between Apple and Samsung. I'm doubting that you will be able to get it replaced, but they won't upgrade you for free. They might make you an offer to discount an iPhone upgrade, but that could still require a two year contract and for you to purchase a new Apple Care protection plan on your device. It barely lasts 5-6 hours, it shuts off at high percentages. So now I'm scared that the battery is dead and I'm only 14 so I can't pay 87 dollars to Apple. Does anyone know a store that can replace the battery at a lower cost? Or is it even the battery? I'm not sure it is. I will get an appointment to Apple to see if it is the battery dying or not but could it be something else?
