Can the CPS deal with this family?

I know a 12 year old with an unsupervised iPhone and she wears age-inappropriate revealing clothes. Any failure to act as a parent/caretaker that results in death, serious physical harm, or exploitation can get involved with the CPS. Older men might sexualize a young girl dressed in a crop top trying to showing her cleavages, and it might result to child exploitation. Same with the unsupervised online access. Besides that, the girl is well-fed, clean, healthy, and goes to school everyday. I live in Canada so this may be different. Can the CPS talk to the parents about either one of the situations?

CPS investigates abuse and neglect.

Every time you put your kid in a car, train or airplane you're risking their life. I wonder if we should call CPS to talk to you about what might happen. Silly? You bet. About as silly as unsupervised phone access.

Mind your own business. Yeesh! Not everyone has to parent like you would. That doesn't mean they are breaking the law.

CPS does not exist to investigate children with unsupervised phone/internet access or kids who wear crop tops. They are there to investigate cases of abuse and neglect. Neither of the two constitute as abuse or neglect.

This girl is being fed, goes to school, is clean and healthy. That is nowhere close to abuse. If you're thinking about what sexual thoughts older men might have about a girl wearing a crop top, then you are the one with problem.

Don't waste CPS's time. There are kids out there that are constantly neglected, hit, and emotionally abused by their families. THOSE are the kids you should be worrying about.
