Can the iPhone 4 work well with GPS?

I want to get an iPhone for my son for Christmas but I can't afford the new ones.

So I found a used one on craigslist. It's an iPhone 4. My concern is the GPS. Will the phones speed be sufficient for real time GPS from google?

Yes the iPhone 4 is a great capable phone out there. If you concern is about the GPS you need to worry more about the network you gonna get for the iPhone, You need to get a network with good 3G speed. (ATT or H2O or Net10 or AIO ) if they are available in your Area. Good Luck. Be careful in Craigslist make sure the iPhone is Unlocked and if is not make sure is not Blacklisted!

I've used Mapquest in realtime with my 4 with no problems.

Yes.

  • Would metro PCS and iPhone work well? I'm buying an iPhone 4S and I'm apparently (my parents) wanna switch to metro PCS, in fact they ARE GOING to switch by the end of the year. I've heard that metro doesn't have a very good service, but a couple of other people have told me that it depends on the phone I have, so… Would the service of metro work well with the iPhone? (By service I mean if I would get signal pretty much everywhere and browse fast to the Internet)
  • My gps will NOT work on my iPhone 6? I bought a "referbished" iPhone 6 and its gps can't locate me on Any app. I've done All of the troubleshooting that I found to do online. Network reset, soft reset, factory reset, made sure location was on etc… Even took it to the Apple Store and they have no idea how to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas that I haven't thought of?

  • If I put my iPhone in airplane mode with Wi-Fi on, will the GPS work? I'm traveling abroad and would like to geotag my photos, but I don't want to incur data charges. If I turn on Wi-Fi but leave the iPhone in airplane mode, will the GPS work properly?
