Can the iPhone transmit electricity through its battery port?

I'm inventing a new product and I need to know if the iPhone (specifically the iPhone 5) can send electricity through its battery port, in the same way that it receives it. For example, I want the iPhone to send its battery power to another device.

Or or hear me out, get some money in your wallet and buy a couple of AA batteries, wouldnt it be more great?

Draining power out of your iPhone… Nice. Dude you can't. The only way is to open it up, the connect two wires from the battery inside, and drill two holes on the back and there you go- two hanging wires that can provide electricity.

Your looking in the wrong place, the power jack will not send power out, the iPhone has a poor battery life as it is.

most people have invented low powered things that will work off of the headphone jack on the phone, that's about the only power output that you will find, but you will also need to create an app to be able to enable the power out of it when you connect something, it's very low though, and the iPhones battery doesn't last very long as it is.

  • Why port forwarding on port 80? I have a foscam home security camera and it needs port forwarding on port 80 if I want to use my iphone to view it from outside. Surely enough, it works as soon as I open that port. But isn't port 80 open by default? Else how could I view http websites in the first place. I don't get it. It's already open so why open it again?
