Make an iphone 4 prepaid?

If you can, how? I have read that you buy the iphone full price, buy a prepaid phone, and then put the prepaid sim card into the iphone, but, if this is true, which prepaid phone should I get? Does it matter? Also, which plan should I get?

Its true, you don't need a prepaid phone, just take the iphone to att and they will give you a micro prepaid sim card.
