Can you still track an iPhone 5 when it's restored and the SIM cards taken out?

Found it with no SIM card and restored but don't know if I should turn it on

I think just to be safe you should restore it again. The phone may still have the settings which will allow the person to track the iPhone and all it needs is a data connection. Without backing up the phone. Restore it so everything is gone. After that you should set it up as a new phone so that all the data will be gone and there will be no chance of the person tracking the phone so you'll have a free iPhone. Enjoy your new iPhone!

  • Taking out sim cards and cellular data on iPhone 4s? Currently I'm in a different country and do not want any unexpected charges to pop up on my bill when I return. My sim card is out but I still send emails and browse the internet using the local wi-fi from my location; since the sim card is out, I won't be charged? Also, what is cellular data? Like I said, I took out my sim card and data roaming is disabled but cellular data is turned on, I won't be charged for it being on since the sim card isn't inserted, correct?

In one part she takes the SIM card out of the phone so no one can track it. But is that also true with iPhones? Like of you take the SIM card out can the police still track your phone. Because I was think yes because it has your number. But is that true? It's not traceable if you take the SIM card out. But if not is there a way and how?
