Can you Text an apple Iphone with the Samsung Galaxy S4, both have AT&T?

My parents have iPhone's, I have had an iPod for a while, so I don't know allot about cellular plans and texting as much. I want to get the Galaxy S4, mainly for customization and better tools and speed. If I wanted to text or call them, could I from the Galaxy, or any Samsung device?

Extra: What's the best att plan for 5 phones/lines? I prefer unlimited Web.

Of course, you can't text it via imessage however.

  • What is a good phone, iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S2, or Samsung Galaxy S3? I need a new phone and I'm wondering which I should get. My friend is selling his GS2 for around 50 Bucks and I could possibly get an iPhone 5 or Galaxy S3. Can you tell me the prices with and without the plan. And for people that have these phones could you tell me how good it is and which carrier(Sprint, Verizon, At&T)?
  • We both have iPhones but can't text each other? My dh and I have iPhones and they are both updated. We can't send text messages back & forth. We can send a message to anyone else but not each other. How can we fix this? Some days this is the only way we can communicate while at work
  • Water damage and opening iPhone 5c both puts it out of warranty, so do both? If having water damage in your iPhone 5c means you aren't covered by warranty, is it acceptable to open it and try to fix it as opening it also means it isn't covered by warranty. Therefore if you can't fix it yourself, apple can still take it out of warranty?
  • Samsung galaxy s4, samsung note 2, or iPhone 5? I'm upgrading from the iPhone 4s and I don't know what to do! I love my iPhone but I love the size of the samsungs? Need advice what does everyone think?
