Can you transfer old text messages from an iphone to a new iphone?
I currently have the iphone 4 but i've had it for over 2 years and the charge no longer holds. My contract is up and i have been looking into getting the iphone 5.is there a way that i can transfer all of the texts and pictures from my iphone 4 to the iphone 5 when i get it?
Added (1). I'm open to jailbreaking my iphone, but if there's a way to transfer everything without jailbreaking my phone, i'd prefer to do that.
Yea if you had your old iphone backed up to a computer or iCloud you can restore the information from your old iphone to your new one
If you back up your current phone to iTunes, and then restore your new iPhone to the backup of your old phone, then all the pictures and messages should be there. Personally, I would make sure that you import the pictures onto the computer to save them, but the messages there's no way to manually back those up.
You may try the "restore and backup" function on iTunes. Made a bakup for your iPhone 3gs first and then restore your iPhone 4s from the iPhone 3gs' backup files.
