Canceled cell service. Same number?

My parents are divorced and I have been on my dad's AT&T cell phone account since 2006. I live with my mom and my dad and I recently got into a big argument and are not on the best of terms… Tonight my iPhone went to "No service" and my number is "no longer a working number" when it's called. So he canceled my service, to be honest I almost expected it. First thing tomorrow I will be going to get on my mom's AT&T account. My question is; Is it possible for me to have the same number that I have had for 7 years that was canceled tonight when I do this tomorrow?

It is very, very unlikely to get the number back, as once the account that the number is attached to is cancelled, the number reverts back to the "pool" of unassigned numbers, and is held for a period of time while all attachments to the number are stopped (texts and such).

  • Why has my order with AT&T Been canceled? I ordered an Iphone 5c on Thursday and everything went through, I checked online today and it said my order was canceled… I didn't cancel the order and I checked my bank account and it said my orders were still pending along with other purchases that went through successfully. What is the cause of this and why didn't anyone call or notify me?
  • What cell phone service providers can I use with an unlocked iPhone 4? I was thinking of unlocking my iPhone. My two year contract with AT&T ended and the iPhone 4 I have doesn't have service with them anymore. If I were to unlock it, what cell phone companies would be compatible with the iPhone? [Which are cheapest?] Would virgin mobile work?
  • Using iPhone 4s without cell phone service? My older sister gave me he iphone 4s yesterday because she got the iphone 5 as a college going away gift. Can I still use the iphone without a sim card? My parents dooesnt want to add me to the family plan until January (my 14th bday). I don't want to wait until january to be able to use it.
  • Unlocked iPhone vs canceled contract? I want to know if it's cheaper to buy an unlocked iPhone 5 (649$) or to buy one, at i.e. Verizon or at&t, and immediately cancel the contract?
