Can't connect to wireless internet? - 1

So I can't seem to connect to my wireless internet. I've tried everything I can think of. On the taskbar where you can see what routers there are that you can connect to, there are none, it is just blank. My laptop or Iphone do not have this problem, only my desktop. When I try to troubleshoot it says Problem with wireless adapter or access point. So I go into my network connections and it says my local area connection, wireless network connection and wireless network connection 2 are all enabled, just not connected. When I right click on them and click Connect/Disconnect it just brings up the empty router menu again. My wireless adapter at the back of my desktop is also enabled as it is shining a green light.

Can anyone help me? I have no idea what to do.

Its probably a driver issue, that has happened to me before, get the model number of hardware piece and look for its drivers online from library or a friends computer and install it on your computer.usually if the wrong Wi-Fi driver is installed it won't work properly

You enable your wireless in network connections. My question is why you have two different wireless connections listed. This usually happens when you keep trying to crate a connection. It has no idea that one already exists. Assuming you used an install CD for the wireless, there should be a menu item to make the connection. Just because a light is on it doesn't mean the computer knows it is there. It only shows that the adapter knows there's a wireless network nearby. The adapter is not the issue, it is the computer and it's wireless configuration files.

Star over from Ground Zero. Open the control panel, add/remove and unintstall the software for the wireless. Go to the network connections and delete the wireless. Shut down the computer and remove the wireless adapter. Reboot and use the install CD. Once it is installed shut down the computer and connect the adapter and reboot the computer. It should find the adapter and set it up.

It's easier for me to do some thing in person, than it is to explain it.

See if this fix's it>>>

1. Wireless zero configuration service should be started… TYPE SERVICES. MSC in RUN command and scroll down to and start Wireless zero service

2. Check for the wireless network adapter in device manager… It should not be disabled. Right click Network Adapter on the drop down menu right click the one you
have then click on Properties and choose Enable if it is not

3. Check wireless button on laptop… It should be turned on
