Car charger making iPhone not work again? What happened?
I would like to share my experience, and also ask what you think about it.
The other day I plugged in my iPhone 5S in the car charger. Neither the cable, nor the adapter were original Apple accessories.
The car hadn't been started at this point. Then I started the car, then I noticed that my phone hadn't started to charge, so I pushed the sleep/wake button, and I noticed that it wasn't on anymore, and from then on, I haven't been able to start the phone. I charged it for a whole night then with regular charger, but nothing happened, no button combination helped.
Can anyone explain it? I mean can it be explained technically why it got damadged? Is it because of the low quality accessories? What could be dabaged? Battery or motherboard/can it be repaired for a resonable price?
You did not tell us how the car charger is connected to the car. For all we know it has its own fuse and when you started up the car, the surge blew the fuse in the car charger. This has nothing to do with the iPhone or the cable and everything to do with user error.
And we don't know what "regular charger" you used to "charge it the whole night"…
Or it could be something else… Like a short in the phone because of the accessories used… I presume you got a "really good deal" when you bought them.

What do you mean by user error?
By regular charger I mean not car charger but regular socket charger, original apple.

Because my lighter doesn't work due to a broke fuse in my fuse box… Anyway- is there any alternative to keeping my phone charged?
