Car cigarette lighter broke?
My brother went to plug in his iphone charger with the USB end Into the lighter charger not knowing there wasn't a USB port attached and it created some sparks. Now when you try to charge your phone correctly it doesn't work in the rear or front lighter ports.
A fuse could have blown.
The fuse blew.
If you know where the fuse panel is, then look at the inside of the cover.
There's normally a diagram or a list of what fuse goes where & what size fuse goes in it.
It will be in the owners manual for sure.
But 99% of the time, the fuse will pop before any damage is done to the receptacle.

If you had post the make, model & year of the vehicle I would have looked up the manual & provided a diagram on where it is & what to do.

- Will I get electrocuted if I touch the inside of the car lighter? My brother borrowed my car and smashed my iphone connector into the lighter hole, breaking the iphone connector into pieces. He pretending he didn't do it and has left fixing it to me. Now a part of the connector is stuck inside, if I stick pliers or tweezers into it while the car is off, will I be okay? Or do I have to disconnect the battery? I don't know anything about this kind of thing!
