Can you change phones on sprint without canceling your 2 year contract? If so how much will they charge you?
How much will they charge you? I want the galaxy s 3 or s4 and i have a 2 year plan i have the iphone 4s i have around 6 or 7 months with my 2 year pla
The contract is just for the line. You can change your phone before the contract runs out but you will have to pay full price for the phone.
Most carriers will allow you to change phones if you pay the balance of your existing phone immediately and also the cost of the new phone on your existing contract.
When you signed your original contract the full price of your phone less the up front cost was spread over the contract period so until your contract is up you still owe on that phone. They don't take the old phone back its yours to keep.
For example when I got my galaxy I got a 3year contract and I'm on the second year now so I looked to see my outstanding balance and it has a little over $50 left on it to pay so I would have to pay that balance immediately plus the cost of the upfront for an S4 which would be about $300. And the balance of the new phone would be again spread over the contract term.
That is assuming I don't break the contract or change it.
