Changing IPhone 4S sim. Contact
Hopefully today my new sim is coming with a much better contract. I use a iPhone 4S and I'm wondering how can I do it so all my contacts are saved into the phone so all I do is change the sim and it's fine?
Best answer for clear and detailed method.
Contacts should be fine if only changing your sim but Back up your iPhone with icloud in your phone settings or save contacts using Google if you have an account is a good idea anyway
Use iTunes to back up the phone (completetly) - use your appleID and password
Then change SIM
and if it demands that you re-register / re-initialise, then you can restore it
If it is the same network, it should not need reseting
(in fact the network can just update your old SIM acciount with the new contract)
if it is a new network you will need to unlock the iPhone (old network SIM is needed)
and when the New SIM is put in, it will complete the unlock and 'may' do a reset
- When changing sim cards, is all my info safe on my iphone? My old phone network is closing down so I'm changing to a new one. My new sim card will be activated in less than 3 hours. I've synced my iphone to itunes. Do I need to worry about losing all my contacts and notes and everything, or is it all stored safely on the phone?
- How to get into a phone that has Find my iPhone activated but no sim card? Or contact the owner of this lost phone? I found this phone on the sidewalk today and I have been trying to find out who it belongs to. I thought that if I went to get the sim card, I could contact their provider (like ATT, Versizon, etc) and ask them to return the phone. But there isn't even a sim card on the phone. It also has this Find My iPhone thing, so it feels like there's nothing I can do. Any suggestions on how I could get it back to the owner?
- Changing the iTunes account on my iPhone? So, I have decided that I want my own iTunes account separate from the rest of my family's. I know that when i change the account on my iphone, songs and apps will be lost, but i have figured out a way to keep them. So my question is that when i change the account on my phone, will my contacts be deleted? If it helps, i haven't set up icloud yet.thanks. @Valerie, that wasn't my question…
- Changing the color of your iPhone? I know there's place you take your iPhone to fix the screen if it gets cracked, and they can also change the color. But in order to change the color, do you actually have to get it cracked? I really wanna change mine, it's boring old black. But would i purposely have to break the screen in order to? I prefferabley wouldn't want to haha. And if you can, how much would it cost?
