Cheapest cell phone plan for an individual?
I've shopped around various carriers (atandamp;t, Verizon, t-mobile, sprint) but they all seem to land in the same price range around $80-100 per month if you purchase a cell phone through them. I currently have an iPhone 4 on my mom's plan but am breaking off of her plan since I'm out on my own now. I don't really have a budget I have to stick to at the moment but don't want to put myself into a bind for when I do start budgeting by having an outrageous phone bill. I do however need a new phone because my iphone 4 is falling apart (i've had it since I was 16 and I'm now almost 21), but am wondering if I'm better off purchasing a 5c or 5s Retail Price off of Amazon then just using one of the carriers for my data talk andamp; text instead of being bound to them by purchasing a phone through them. I'd ideally like a plan that'll cost around $50/month but I'm not sure if that's possible since I do need a new phone as well. I feel like I'm being price gouged here lol.
Individual Cell Phone Plans
You could get a tracfone with "triple aritime" off ebay, then the card value you enter triples its minutes. I tripled a 19.99 card like three months ago and have not run out of minutes.
- Will my cell phone plan with verizon be cheaper if I get the iPhone separately? I plan on switching to Verizon soon, yet I will be on a budget since I'll also be living on my own for college. So my question is, can I open up an account with Verizon, buy a cheap phone with data and texting etc. On it, THEN buy a Verizon iPhone off of ebay? Also, how much would the monthly charge be if I was to buy an iPhone 5 with its plan at Verizon?
