Nope because the odds are it is not going to work properly. Just read though this section and look at the number of people who have bought phones like this through eBay, in general they just get ripped off!
Generally no.
Here are the problems:
1. It's 16 gb which is barely enough for the iOS. Ideally you want to have at least twice the gb than what you're going to use. If you think you're going to need 60 B.B. Of storage than get at least 120 gb.
2. It's refurbished so that means the phone was opened and inspected. If something is broken it was fixed. If it had problems before it will have problems in the future.
3. It's a 5. There's not going to be that many new apps that will work on it.
It's ok, now what you need to do is ask the seller for the IMEI or ESN of the phone, so you can check if it has been reported lost, stolen or is still being financed. All of which will make the phone ineligible to be used on any carrier.
Also ask for the serial number to check with Apple that it was 1, refurbished by Apple and 2, if there's any warranty left on the phone and if so, how much.
Why are you asking for these? Even if the phone has been refurbished, if it is blacklisted it is not worth a dime if you can't use it as a phone on a carrier. If they refuse to give you the information, pass on the deal no matter how good it seems to you.

- What would be a good entry camera for a novice? I have been taking some pictures with my iphone and i really love it, but it has some limits.
