Connected to Wi-Fi but its still using data?

I have the iPhone 5 & I'm connected to my Wi-Fi at home all the time but its still using my data? I have 6gb of data I can use & I'm trying to make sure I don't go over. How can I fix this? I've been seeing a lot of complaints about this but no answers.

For which reason do cell phones no matter if I Phones or Androids require Wi-Fi and Internet connections? For updating or downloading unwanted gadgets, unnecessary information (Its raining at the place where you presently stand and Justin Bieber lost one pubic hair) or to copy your email account on your cellphone so that others have a lot to read after you lost it. All those little programs run in the background. I do not know how it is done and I doubt that it is possible in an APPLE designed device at all, but you should find a method either to disable the automatic update and download function of every single application or simply disable the wireless function unless for something you have to do on the net. Then and only then I would enable it. Don't worry that you don't see any of the downloaded data. Those are hidden "protected" files, cookies or adware and "system files". Microsoft is known, APPLE is notorious for that.

Hi, The Problem is - i set up a wireless network today for my Iphone 5 and my blackberry, from my main desktop at home, and all went well and Both are connected to it, as well as my laptop. But now whenever i try using the internet on these devices ( iphone etc ) it does not work, although the main desktops internet is working… Can anyone help me? I'm using WINDOWS 7.

  • My iPhone says its up to date but its not? I have the iPhone 4s and every time I go into settings-general-software update, it says my software is up to date with iOS 6.1.3! All my friends have gotten iOS 7 already! Why doesn't mine say I need to update to iOS 7! And how can I make it say that? And I know that the iPhone 4s can get it.
