Connecting a USB to a stereo?

I just bought a stereo system and you can plug a USB into the stereo for the music to stream through. However when I plug my iPhone into its USB cord and plug that into the stereo, the music will not stream. The company says this is because the device is only compatible to usb2.0 and USB1.1. What does that mean and will I be able to stream music from my iPhone.

If you are using a lightning connector to play music to the speaker. Then it may have a compatibility issue. You may wanna go back to the Shop and ask why you can't. Sometimes, it will ask you to follow these steps so you could play the music from the iphone. Then yet again, chances are unit replacements. You should have test the stereo system before buying it.

  • Is there a stereo dock that will play iPhone and Android? I have an iPhone 4S and my husband has an Android. We'd like to get a stereo/speaker dock for our kitchen that will allow us to play music but obviously don't want to have to buy one for each phone. Is there a dock out there that will accommodate both?
