Corsair C70 Computer Case Front Panel USB Shocks Me?
My Corsair C70 case has 2 USB 3.0 connectors in the front and whenever I plug anything into them the other end of the cord shocks me. For example, a printer's USB connector and my iPhone 4s charger have shocked me when fully inserted into the USB slot. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to fix it.
Most likely cause -- the cord you're using is defective and exposes the leads to your touch
less likely -- the front panel port is miswired -- has polarity wrong -- this would be inside the case. Diagnose with a voltmeter… The exterior metal end should be neutral to ground [the computer case is grounded].
even less likely -- frayed wiring inside case or power supply is allowing 12 volts to 'leak' into the USB circuit [which is 5 volts]. Voltmeter finds this, too.
even more remote -- somehow the 110/220 volt [AC] power supply input voltage is "leaking" to the USB port. I've never heard of this happening, but I suppose it is possible -- since the USB port's leads go to the mobo [motherboard], I'd think the mobo would be fried and the computer wouldn't work at all -- and, someone [remote chance] might have intentionally miswired the thing inside the case.
- Will replacing my iphone 4s front screen fix my front camera? - 1 The screen on my iphone 4s is cracked, and has completely fallen off in front of the camera. My pictures are no extremely blurry, no matter how many times i try to clean it. Will fixing my front screen fix this problem?
- Will an apple store switch my white iphone's front&back panel with a new color? I recently saw someone with a gold iphone, but it wasn't a case. I read online that you can switch out the glass or something in the front and back of your iphone to change the color. If I went to an apple store could the switch it out for me, and if so how much would it cost?
- Why is Apple so keen to push USB-C with their Macbooks but they don't include USB-C on the iPhone? It seems like the Macbook department at Apple thinks USB Type C is the best thing since sliced bread but the iPhone department thinks USB Type C is work of the devil.
- IPhone shocks/hurts me when I rest my skin on it? So, I have an iPhone 6S. Sometimes, when i'm laying in bed next to it, I like to lay my elbow/forearm/chin/etc on it. But, no matter what phone case I have, it always gives me this painful, sharp, shocking feeling like a bunch of tiny needles, even when not charging. Is this just the electricity, and if so, is there any way to stop it?
