Cracked my iPhone 6 screen in less than a week?

I received my new iphone 6 from verizon last Thursday. When I was purchasing my phone the guy offered me insurance but I wasn't sure if I would be able to afford that (I'm a college student) so I asked if I could add insurance later. The guy never gave me a definite answer but told me I have a 14-day satisfaction guarantee. I just want a screen repair but I'm scared they'll charge me since I really don't have cash on me at this moment. Does anyone know if Verizon or Apple will replace the screen? There's an apple store nearby and I feel like asking them too if they could do anything… Please Help IT'S SERIOUSLY ONLY BEEN 6 DAYS AND IT ALREADY BROKE!

You will not like this. But Apple intentionally did not use Sapphire or Gorilla glass. This makes the phone more fragile and cheaper, but increases sales and repair costs.

You can insure the phone afterwards, but you will have to wait I think it is a month before you can file a claim.

Add insurance on their website. Then activate your old phone if you kept it. Wait out the month or whatever period it is. If anything is said, just say you lost it somewhere in the house or at a friend's place. Then after the waiting period, reactivate the phone and then file the claim. That is the best I can think of.

Yeah, the college life. Here's the problem. The 14 day guarantee policy is to make sure you 'like' the phone, not to insure it. Also the courtesy one year free Applecare is for defects only, not damage caused by you. Now that the screen is cracked Big Red will only offer an insurance policy for it's current state on the day you get the insurance--not anything before. You try to take it back now, they'll decline or charge you full price for the phone. Mr. Hyde forgot to mention even if you get insurance, you'll have to pay a deductible for them to fix it. On a new 6, that's $200 easy. Bottom line, Nope. The crack is your's. Save up the coin because that's an easy $200-250 job from Applestore to repair as most cell phone repair joints don't have 6 or 6 plus spare parts in stock yet. So yeah, Apple will fix it, but not for free. You'll have another semester under your belt by the time you get a new screen. Best luck.
