WEEK OLD IPHONE 4 CRACKED SCREEN?

Not even 1 week ago, I got a new iPhone 4 from the Apple store. I was sitting in my driveway and went to go pick up the phone when it slipped from my hand and landed face down on the pavement. I don't have insurance on the phone, but it is literally only 6 days old. I have never dropped an iPhone before and I've been a customer of Apple for 4 years now. Does anyone know what the outcome would be if I went to the Genius Bar and explained my situation?

Without insurance you will probably have to pay full price for the repair. The amount of time you've had it is irrelevant unfortunately.

However, you CAN fix it yourself, if you are willing to try. You can get an iphone 4 replacement screen kit from many places, including amazon.com. There are many tutorials online on how to fix it. Replacement acreens run about 40
