Custard spilled on iPhone - speaker not working?

My friend spilled frozen custard all over my iPhone 4s and I cleaned it right away. Everything seemed to work fine. When I got home around 30 minutes later, I noticed the sound coming out of the speakers (music, other apps, notifications) sounded distorted and at the same time kind of quiet. I took a closer look and realized that the dock connector was full of custard and I tried to clean it with a toothpick. The speakers seem fine from the outside, but something must cause the weird sound.
Is there any way to clean them without taking apart the iPhone?

I bought it on ebay and it was working perfectly fine - but paying for apple to fix it wouldn't make any sense, since that will probably cost more, than I bought the phone for.

I appreciate ANY kind of advice, I just got the phone 1 month ago and I'm Really sad about all this. I know, I should be happy that the rest is okay, but it kind of sucks, since this is my first iPhone and I've been taking care of it.

U brought water in my mouth, please send a custord bowl to me.

You have to visit apple care cente they will clean it properly.

  • Why is my iPhone's left speaker (for sound) not working? I had recently damaged my phone by dropping it on pavement (approximately 3 feet), and it slid about 20 feet. Just today, I noticed the the left speaker on the bottom of the phone is not working. I have a feeling that it's not working because of the impact of the phone falling (I had a snap-on case at the time). Is there any way for it to get fixed without replacing the whole phone? And are there any good websites for parts? -Thanks
  • Speaker not working on Iphone 4s? Whenever i listen to something on my phone the speaker goes on and off every couple of minutes when I use headphones or just the speakers on the phone. When I use the speakers the noise sounds really static and voices sound robotic. Why is it doing this?
  • IPhone sounds play from ear speaker, not bottom speaker? Every so often, when I double click the home button, scroll over to the volume level, there's a little symbol for air play. When selected, I can play sounds from either the I phones ear speaker or the bottom (louder) speaker. However, this seems to go in and out and most of the time the air play icon isn't there. How do I fix this?
  • Iphone 4s speaker not working? When I have my headphones in, I can listen to music and hear audio on my phone and also when I have the phone to my ear making a phone call. But when I have it on speaker I can't listen to music, hear siri, talk on speaker phone, or hear my cell phone ringer. The audio is up and I have all the settings in the right place. Is there a way I can troubleshoot this at home or do I have to take it to Apple?
