Data shut off, access to internet

Our dad shut off our data for the month because we reached the max. My sister has an Iphone 4 and i have a Droid bionic. My sister can use twitter and search the internet but i can't. Is it because i'm on 4g not 3g? I tried to switch my phone to 3g but it wouldnt let me.

I don't think the 3G and 4G makes much of a difference as in this situation. Ask your dad to check your account and see if your data is turned off for all phones or just yours. Also, when you are not in a 4G data area, your phone will automatically go back to 3G.

  • Will I get charged for using Wi-Fi when my Sprint data plan is shut off? If I turn off the data plan for my iPhone 5 (with the intention if turning it back on), will I get charged for using the Internet using Wi-Fi?
  • Why does my iphone 4s verizon shut off when at 20%? I use to have the 4s at&t one and it would last until 1% so now shutting off at 20% is really annoying. I'm just curious why it does it on verizon & not at&t. I charge it the same as i always do my iphones. I searched the web & came up with nothing but yet to have to contact verizon but i just thought i asked the community first since they know more than these businesses nowadays.anyone know y or has same issue or how to fix?
  • My Iphone is not letting me access the internet or internet based apps? I have an Iphone 5. Never had any issues but now it won't connect to the internet or any apps. It does the same thing it does when I have no service (just has that little circle symbol that means it's trying to get through). Orginally, I thought it must be a universal problem but everyone else has service and they are in the same location as me. Also I always use my phone here with no problems. I have tried turning it off and on again but nothing.
  • IPhone service got shut off? My dad didn't pay my phone bill and isn't planning on it either. My phone is completely shut off, but still says Verizon in the corner. I want to sell it on eBay( yeah I know it has a bad esn now,)but am not sure if I can because it still says verizon
