Desktop imac won't connect to Internet?

I have a fairly new desktop imac, I got it about a month ago. Since yesterday it can't connect to the Internet. Whenever I try to use safari it just says my imac is "offline." I checked the network settings and my Wi-Fi is working and the Ethernet cable is connected and it seems like everything is fine. If my Ethernet is connected, why can't I get to the Internet! It isn't an area problem or a phone line problem I already made sure of that. And if it helps, on my iPhone it shows I'm connected to the Wi-Fi and it's full bars but I can't load anything on there either. Please somebody help me out this is driving me crazy!

  • Why won't my iPhone sync to my iMac? I'm trying to sync my iPhone 4 to my iMac using iTunes but every time I plug it in and click sync a pop-up window says "The iPhone could not be synced because the sync session failed to start." I made sure the cable was plugged in right and everything looked normal, in the settings, summary, etc. But it still won't sync. It's not syncing wirelessly anymore either. If anyone knows the solution to this, that would be great.
  • Why can't my desktop connect to our Wi-Fi at home but does connect to moble hotspot? Suddenly my desktop won't connect to our Wi-Fi. All other devices such as laptops, phones and tablets connects just fine. I tried connecting it to my iphone's hotspot and it works. I tried to unistall and reinstall the wireless adapter but still won't work. I also tried to reboot the router and even tried to change the channel but still failed to make it work. Do you have any other way to make it work? I have windows 7 on my desktop.
