Did I handle this the right way?

At the end of this month, I'm moving from Vancouver to Fort Mcmurray for a job. My sister already lives there, and she is going to put me up for a month while I get settled. Now, she's a nice person, but sometimes its like she's insane, and she Can't manage money for the life of her.

I got an email from her today telling me she's ordered me an iphone because she "wants us to have a way to keep in contact". She did not even bother to run this by me, and she's trying to get me in a financial commitment I don't want. Even my parents agree that was a ridiculous move.

I sent her an email back saying "You're going to have to cancel that order, Mollie. Nobody told you to do that, and I have an android phone that can do everything an iphone does and more. Looking forward to the move, its getting close! Love, Myles."
