Disabling the paired/connected Bluetooth screen for pandora in my car?

When I use pandora in my car via Bluetooth, the pandora app quickly realizes it's connected to a stereo unit and a black screen takes over the pandora app and doesn't allow you to use pandora or its functions in any way. I'm assuming this is a feature to keep your eyes on the road while driving, however all it does it make me angry and leads to me disconnecting my phone and performing the desired task like bookmarking or thumbs upping songs manually and reconnecting it after. If this is the true reason of this black screen I find it ridiculous pandora is telling me I can't mess with my phone while providing me the opportunity of messing with my 7" touch screen radio in a less user friendly and more tediously difficult fashion. I have a jailbroken iPhone 5s running the original iOS 7, this definitely has nothing to do with my issue but can possibly provide a pathway for tweaks or apps like Flex 2 to find an answer to my issue. Many people complain of this Bluetooth screen!
